The National Federation of Atheist, Humanist and Secular Student Societies (AHS) is a federal body composed of irreligious student societies from across the UK. Its constitution was ratified on the 15th November 2008 in Leeds.

Aims

Structure

The AHS is run for students, by students and as such its leading figures are selected from its member societies. Its governing body is the Committee, which in turn is directed by an elected Executive.


Committee


The Committee is a student council composed of the President of each member society and an elected AHS Representative from that society. Members each have an equal vote regardless of their rank and any member of the Committee may stand for a role in the Executive at the Annual General Meeting. Current members of the Committee are as follows:


Executive


The Executive is elected from the Committee and comprises of three permanent roles (President, Secretary and Treasurer). Additional roles may be created by the Executive subject to a simple majority vote in Committee. Current members of the Executive are as follows:

Board of Trustees


The Board of Trustees is ultimately responsible for the financial and legal wellbeing of the AHS, and is composed of a variety of supporters, members and professional figures. The current Trustees are:
