Leeds (2007)
This was the first Rationalist Week ever run.
What we did
We couldn't afford a marquee so one of our staff members bought two 6x3m tents off eBay and we stuck them together. We bought a load of garden chairs and tables from Argos and set them up with the microphone on the left hand side and posters on the wall on the left hand side. We also rented a small generator from HSS to power everything.
What happened
We opened the tent about 10am each morning and closed it at about 5pm, running events at 12 noon and 2pm each day. These were just talks so fairly easy to run.
