An irreverent Christmas wishes message here: Whether you're Christian or just going along with it, that which you celebrate at xmas is very little to do with the message of Christianity. Real Christianity is nuts!

…That some Christians believe the Bible prohibits Christmas trees?

Jeremiah 10 (King James Version)

1 Hear ye the word which the LORD speaketh unto you, O house of Israel:

2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.

4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.

Well, they are a pagan practice. And early attempts to introduce them to the UK and USA were met with anger and protest, with many upright Christians trying to ban them because they were heathen.

The point is, the Bible is very silly in places. When you celebrate Christmas with your family this year, try to remember how little your festive traditions have to do with religion. Spare a thought for those who do try to the follow the Bible – a book that recommends stoning children for disobeying their parents, condones slavery, revels in the rape and slaughter of heathens and views women as property. Being a Christian must be hard work!
