Humanism is the trust in and query of reason, ethics and joy. It is a worldview based on reason and compassion. Humanists generally reject unfounded beliefs such as those of religion or superstition, and form their own beliefs based on the evidence available. The only dogma in Humanism is that there is no dogma.
