Unweaving the Rainbow
From SecularPortal
Unweaving the Rainbow is a book by Richard Dawkins, in which he tries to show how our environment can be wonderful even if we explain its mysteries through science. In this way he responds to Keats' accusation of Newton removing the wonder from the rainbow by explaining how it is formed. Chapter by chapter he looks at different aspects of science (mainly involving waves and their related topics) and shows specifically how removing the mystery can in fact make things more wonderful.
